Shokz, known for its open-ear headphones with patented bone conduction technology, has unveiled OpenSwim Pro. This is the brand’s first Bluetooth and MP3 capable sports headphone made with bone conduction technology, which allows consumers to listen to their favourite music while swimming, as well as stream audio while running or cycling.
The headphones have a flexible nickel-titanium alloy frame with a soft silicone material and biofit design promoting a secure fit that works with a swimming cap and goggles. With the press of a button or in the Shokz app, users can switch modes between Bluetooth streaming and MP3 listening.
“Swimmers love OpenSwim but our most requested feature was the ability to utilize Bluetooth out of the water so they could stream their favourite audio when not in the pool,” said Vincent Xiong, Chief Executive Officer at Shokz.

OpenSwim Pro will be available later this year. The new headphones have an IP68 rating allowing users to use their headphones for up to two hours submerged in two metres of water. Users can also expect up to nine hours of battery life and a quick charge feature.
