Smith eyes new partnership with Human Powered Health Cycling

Smith has confirmed its partnership with Human Powered Health (HPH) Cycling – a UCI Women’s World Tour team – becoming the official performance eyewear and helmet provider for the 2024-25 seasons.

Established in 2007, the all-women’s American pro team based in Europe is comprised of 16 female cyclists, including Katia Ragusa (Italy) who in the first big race of this season has already earned the Queen of the Mountains (QOM) jersey at the Australian race – Santos Tour Down Under.

Also in the team is Ruth Edwards (USA) – the 2020 winner of the Australian Tour – joining the HPH team this season as she makes her return to the pro peloton after spending the last couple years focused on gravel racing.

“As Human Powered Health pedals into a new chapter, we are excited to ride alongside Smith, experts in helmet and eyewear tech,” said Ro De Jonckere, General Manager for the HPH Team.

“Our partnership promises a fusion of style and safety on every journey – a perfect match for our fearless cyclists. We are ready for a ride where passion meets innovation, and victory wears the signature Smith touch.”

For use in training and competition, Smith has outfitted the team with its best-selling road helmet, the Trace, the aerodynamic Ignite helmet, and the Jetstream TT model with a protective magnetic shield visor featuring colour enhancing ChromaPop lens technology or a clear lens option for low light conditions.

All three helmet models utilize KOROYD impact protection material for lightweight, energy-absorbing, and ventilated coverage plus the Mips Brain Protection System to reduce rotational forces caused by angled impacts to the head during a crash or fall.

For performance eyewear, the HPH team have a chosen a variety of Smith’s shield-style sunglasses including the Bobcat, Wildcat, Vert, and Shift XL MAG models, each offered in ChromaPop lenses that help to reveal natural colour, enhanced visual clarity and greater definition of objects.

Off the bike, the team have their pick of Smith lifestyle sunglasses that suit their personal styles, including the new Sway and Lineup models and the Lowdown 2 frames.
