Indoor cycling app ROUVY has announced a new partnership with Team Visma | Lease a Bike, with the pro cycling team using ROUVY’s routes to prepare for racing.
With ROUVY’s Route Creator tool, the team’s riders and performance coaches can replicate and ride on specific routes from around the world. For example, as ROUVY points out… ‘Jonas Vingegaard can now preview and train on Tour de France summit finishes from home in Denmark, regardless of poor weather, or replicate any challenging terrain in the world without leaving home.’
This functionality also supports team coaches, who can guide riders across international locations through the same route simulations, helping to ensure cohesive and tailored training.

“This enables us to prepare our riders under real-world conditions while taking into account the challenges of specific terrains – even from thousands of miles away.”
In addition to real-world route preparation, the partnership offers ROUVY users exclusive access to Team Visma | Lease a Bike workouts inspired by riders such as Jonas Vingegaard, Wout Van Aert, and Marianne Vos.
Jonas Vingegaard said “Being able to train on ROUVY’s real routes allows me to recon and practice on race routes I’d otherwise not be able to access due to weather or travel. It’s invaluable for ensuring I’m prepared, no matter where I am.”
The partnership will kick off with a group ride on November 27, 2024, where all ROUVY members can join in with various Team Visma | Lease a Bike riders, including Atilla Valter and Ben Tullet, and ride the closing part of the final virtual stage of La Vuelta, rolling into the centre of Madrid with a few short climbs over 20km and 213m of ascent.
Looking ahead, the collaboration will expand in January 2025 with the launch of a virtual Visma | Lease a Bike training camp, where ROUVY users can follow the team’s winter preparation program with new workouts, training plans, virtual assets such as jerseys and bikes, and insights from team staff.
ROUVY adds that… ‘this exclusive camp will provide access to the same training and techniques that propel Team Visma | Lease a Bike to success, empowering cyclists worldwide to elevate their outdoor season.’
