SCOTT Sports has unveiled ‘The Thin Line’, positioned as an immersive storytelling film following four SCOTT athletes as they take on the gruelling 2024 Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) – one of the world’s leading ultra-trail races.
The film dives into the ambassador athletes’ personal stories and the intense preparation required to face 173km of running and 10,000m of elevation in an ultimate endurance test.
Featuring SCOTT athletes Anne-Lise Rousset, Cody Lind, Andy Symonds and Rémi Berchet, The Thin Line provides an intimate look at the physical and psychological challenges of elite ultra running.
From the energy at the UTMB start line to the razor-thin margin between making it or breaking it, SCOTT adds that… ‘This film captures the drive and resilience required to endure the highs and lows of ultra-endurance racing.
‘The Thin Line isn’t just about success or failure; it’s about the immense mental and physical toll that leading ultra runners endure as they toe the line that separates triumph from defeat.’

The Thin Line, directed by Timothèe Ranger follows these four athletes in the six-month build up to the race capturing the highs and lows, the sacrifices and the rawest moments of their journey. The film officially launched on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 4PM CET and is be available to watch for free on the SCOTT YouTube Channel.
“Running is such a wild sport, you know the goal and what you’re capable of – if everything comes together, said SCOTT Running Athlete, Cody Lind.
“It’s a thin line of believing you can do it and putting way too much pressure on yourself – all it takes is one completely off day.”
