The countdown is on for the inaugural 2024 Spartan Sprint & 100M World Championship, taking place from Friday, October 11th to Sunday, October 13th on the island of Hvar, Croatia.
Spartan notes that this year’s event promises a scenic setting for athletes and spectators alike, as some of the world’s toughest obstacle course racing (OCR) athletes prepare to battle for their share of a US$100,000 prize pot.
Set against the backdrop of Hvar’s Adriatic waters, rugged shores, and ancient streets, the Spartan Sprint & 100M World Championship offers a unique and challenging race course. Athletes will dash across rocky coastlines, scale historic fortress walls, and even plunge into the Adriatic Sea to overcome a range of obstacles.
Fans and participants can look forward to a festival atmosphere at the race village, complete with interactive experiences, merchandise stalls, local food vendors, and family-friendly activities. With Hvar’s rich history, landscapes, and lively culture, Spartan adds that the venue offers up the perfect setting for an unforgettable OCR weekend.
