Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon in Ireland partners with njuko

The Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon, held annually in the May/June bank holiday weekend, in Dublin, is Ireland’s largest mass participation event for women and is billed as the biggest all-female event of its kind worldwide.

The 10km race attracts tens of thousands of participants each year, raising significant funds for charities across the country. Next year’s event is scheduled for May 31, 2026.

Since its first edition in 1983, more than 1.1 million women have taken part, generating an estimated €255 million for charitable causes. In 2024, the race sold out with over 25,000 entrants, while the 2025 edition saw participation rise to around 28,500. Competitors range from teenagers to women in their nineties, with many returning year after year for the event’s atmosphere and community spirit.

The event uses the njuko registration platform to manage the high-volume of event entries, process participant data and provide a white label sign-up journey. This partnership enables the event organisers to focus on event delivery and the participant experience.

Matt Trevett, Head of UK at njuko, said “The team at Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon are innovators in so many ways, we take inspiration from their ideas and passion for women’s running every day.

“Having been to Dublin this year to speak to participants it is clear why this event is one of the best in the world and growing rapidly every year – we are lucky to be a part of this inspiring event.”

David O’Leary, Race Director of the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon said “The participant’s experience is at the heart of our event, and partnering with njuko helps us make the first step – registration – as smooth as possible.

“Their innovative technology allows us to offer new features and flexibility to our participants, so they can focus on the fun of the event.”
