19,000 runners at 2025 St Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Washington DC

According to event organiser, The IRONMAN Group, the 2025 St Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Washington DC saw more than 19,000 registered participants taking a running tour of the US nation’s capital.

Held on March 15, 2025, the picturesque route, dotted with historic landmarks such as the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, and the US Capitol Building, provided a backdrop for both the half marathon and sold out 5K.

Saturday’s half marathon also saw a field of elite athletes take the course. Robert Brandt (Arlington, VA) with a time of 1:07:37 and Tessa Barrett (Arlington, VA) finishing in a time of 1:15:12 topped the podium.

Runners and walkers from across the US and around the world took on the half marathon course, crossing the Potomac River via the Arlington Memorial Bridge and finishing with views of the Capitol Building. As they crossed the finish line on Pennsylvania Avenue, participants celebrated with family and friends along the National Mall.

Also taking place on Saturday was the 5K with a course that had participants starting and finishing in front of the Capitol Building on Pennsylvania Avenue as they traversed the streets of Washington DC.
