Amazfit has unveiled its latest smartwatch, the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro, aimed at endurance sports enthusiasts particularly trail runners.
The new model introduces new features including advanced mapping functions, an integrated flashlight, a speaker with a microphone, and sapphire glass to protect the display. The T-Rex 3 Pro also uses Grade 5 titanium alloy in its construction.
The company highlights the smartwatch’s measurement accuracy and battery performance, pointing to its use by trail runners such as Rod Farvard, Rosa Lara Feliu, and Ruth Croft at UTMB.
The watch is designed for extreme conditions. It is claimed to operate in temperatures ranging from -30°C to +70°C. It has a dual-colour LED flashlight, which also offers an SOS signal.
With a 1.5″ AMOLED display, the T-Rex 3 Pro offers a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits (candela per square meter, cd/m²). A built-in speaker and microphone allow for Bluetooth calls and voice control via Zepp Flow.
Amazfit adds that the T-Rex 3 Pro provides tens of thousands of free offline maps, including urban, topographic, and ski slope maps. It can search for places and generate new routes based on a set direction and distance.
The latest model’s antenna uses circular polarisation to receive GPS signals more frequently. The smartwatch supports dual-band and six satellite systems, including GPS and Galileo.
With over 180 sports modes, the T-Rex 3 Pro supports running, trail running, strength training, water sports, and more. As a technology partner of HYROX, it also offers special modes for the fitness racing series. Training data can be viewed in the Zepp App and on other platforms, such as Strava.
The T-Rex 3 Pro monitors several post-training and recovery parameters, including VO2 max, training load, recovery time, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and sleep quality. The smartwatch also continuously updates a BioCharge Energy Score fatigue indicator. The latest generation BioTracker 6.0 PPG sensor is used to monitor these metrics.
The 48 mm version of the smartwatch is claimed to last up to 26 days on a single charge. With GPS and always-on display mode active, the 48mm version can reportedly support athletes for 19–20 hours.
The recommended price of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro is £399. The 48mm version is available in Tactical Black and Black Gold, while the 44mm variant will be available in the coming weeks in Gold & Gray and Black Gold.
