Bike-shipping specialist Bikeflights has launched a new Shopify app, noting that… ‘The Bikeflights Bike Shipping app allows cycling retailers with Shopify-powered stores to seamlessly integrate Bikeflights shipping into their Shopify workflow.’
“Bikeflights Bike Shipping app will save you hours of cutting and pasting and reduce manual errors because now you can ship with Bikeflights straight out of Shopify,” said Bikeflights President William Alcorn.
The new app plugs directly into online stores hosted on Shopify, an e-commerce platform that many businesses use to sell products online. Bikeflights adds that… ‘Because the app is dimensionally weight based, it allows for accurate faring and shipping of larger packages like full size bikes and e-bikes.’
Within the app, retailers can group multiple purchased items from within a given order to ship all items together in one package, or in any number of separate packages. They can use package preset dimensions, weights and values, or customize them as needed for each order.
App users can get rates, choose shipping speeds and directly book shipments via their Bikeflights account – all within the app. Labels are available within minutes in both laser and thermal formats and are printable directly from the app.

The app was designed so users can manage shipping for orders that include both physical products and options. Retailers who use the app can continue to ship in their own containers.
