Personalised nutrition specialist Bioniq is expanding its portfolio with a new offering, Bioniq Build Your Own, that allows its subscribers to design their own supplement formulas.
According to Bioniq… ‘This launch directly responds to demand from the US market and represents the company’s most significant product advancement since introducing Bioniq GO in 2023.’
Founded in 2019, Bioniq is known for its personalized nutritional support based on blood biomarker data. According to Bioniq data, up to 15% of individuals living with special health needs seek a product that allows them to select ingredients tailored to their health conditions.
These consumers may often struggle to find exact dosages and ingredients they need from existing products on the market.
The new Build Your Own offering addresses allergies, vitamin and mineral intolerances, as well as other special health needs. Consumers can choose to follow a formula recommended by Bioniq, which leverages its algorithm and database of over six million biochemical data points. Alternatively, they can design their own formulas by selecting from over 50 nutrients, with the option to include or exclude specific ingredients.
In both cases, Bioniq supplements are delivered in a patented granular dosage form, to help with high bioavailability.
“Bioniq is the only company capable of offering an extensive list of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients in flexible dosages, thanks to our AI-driven approach and innovative granular delivery system,” said Oliver Motisi, Chief Product Officer of Bioniq.
“We have been developing our dosage technology to ensure it complies with all necessary medical regulations, enabling consumers with chronic diagnoses or specific medical conditions to have autonomy in creating specific supplement blends tailored to their medical and physical requirements. We believe this unique approach will be in high demand among customers and medical institutions, helping to improve the quality of life for even more people.”
Sold in over 70 countries and with its total user base claimed to have grown more than five-fold in 2024, Bioniq’s approach is backed by a patent-pending algorithm. Combining advanced blood biomarker analysis and self-reported health data, Bioniq creates customized supplements.
The AI-powered, patent-pending Bioniq algorithm evaluates an individual’s height, weight, age, lifestyle, and health goals to identify micronutrient imbalances. It provides tailored nutritional insights, daily nutrient support, 1:1 nutrition consultations, and educational resources.
The new Build Your Own initiative is part of Bioniq’s focus on product development and the implementation of its products for medical, wellness, and athletic institutions worldwide. Recently, Bioniq announced that global football legend Cristiano Ronaldo had made a significant investment in the company, bringing its total valuation to US$82 million.
Previously, Bioniq closed its series B funding round, which raised US$15 million led by Principal Investors HV Capital and Unbound, two leading European venture capitalists.
