At the CES 2025 tech show in Las Vegas (January 7-10), Garmin has announced new product launches, including the Instinct 3 smartwatch and HRM 200 heart rate monitor.
HRM 200
Garmin is enhancing its heart rate monitor range with the new HRM 200. According to Garmin… ‘This provides athletes with accurate heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) data to help improve overall performance, whether that’s on the bike trail, a run or in the gym.’
Features of the HRM 200 include:
- The monitor sends heart rate and HRV data to compatible smartwatches, Edge cycling computers and compatible fitness equipment, as well as the Tacx Training App.
- The machine-washable strap comes in two sizes (XS-S and M-XL) to fit a wide range of athletes.
- A replaceable battery lasts up to a year.
- A small, blinking LED light lets users know when the monitor is awake and ready to go or when the battery is running low.
Expected to be available soon, Garmin’s HRM 200 has a suggested retail price of £79.99.
Instinct 3
The new addition to Garmin’s Instinct range brings an AMOLED screen or enhanced solar model to the range, continuing the range’s rugged design with the addition of a built-in flashlight.

Key features of the Instinct 3 include:
- A bright AMOLED screen and enhance user interface for vivid, high resolution everyday smartwatch use (non-solar models)
- A larger, more efficient solar lens harnesses the power of the sun. Compared to Instinct 2 Solar, the new 50mm Instinct 3 Solar gets more than five times the battery life in GPS mode when solar charging.
- Alternative appearance featuring a range of black or bold special edition colours alongside a bolted design and metal reinforced bezel.
The Instinct 3 now includes a built-in flashlight and is built to MIL-STD 810 for thermal and shock resistance and is water-rated to 100m. - Health and wellness monitoring including heart rate, advanced sleep monitoring, wrist-based Pulse Ox and heart rate variability (HRV) status.
- Specific women’s health tracking features let female users track their menstrual cycle and pregnancy while also getting exercise and nutrition information
The Instinct 3 AMOLED has a suggested retail price starting at £389.99 while the solar charging models start at £349.99. The range will be available to buy on Garmin.com from January 10, 2025.
