Getting athletes together: new Final Surge Attendance Roster tracking feature

Final Surge has confirmed the launch of its new Attendance Roster feature, designed to make event check-ins such as group runs and team practices more seamless for coaches and participating athletes.

In a release, training app provider Final Surge noted that… ‘This feature is packed with robust tools to simplify athlete management, enhance engagement, save time and bring more value to training sessions. With this feature, tracking attendance, rewarding athletes, and gathering valuable insights has never been easier.’

The new feature gives coaches of teams and training groups the ability to create events that display on athlete calendars. Coaches can then choose what athletes & teams will be attending the event and enable athletes to respond with their availability to give coaches an idea of who will be attending. Events are set for a specific date and time, and can include an address with a GPS location of the meeting spot.

On the day of the event, coaches can use the manual check-in button or the integrated QR code check-in option to quickly scan athletes that are in attendance. Additionally, an optional GPS location-based self-check-in is offered, allowing athletes to check themselves in when they are within a certain proximity of the event meeting spot.

Coaches can also create a rewards program and assign reward points for event attendance, giving athletes additional incentives.

“This is an exciting feature for us and is the result of lots of feedback from our coaching community,” said Tim Surface, Co-founder of Final Surge.

“Our goal is to make coaches more efficient and help them stay organized, so it’s fun to launch a feature that does exactly that.”
