A new consumer event focused on running is set to debut in Northern Ireland on February 7–8, 2026. The NI Running Show is billed as the first dedicated running expo on the island of Ireland, taking place at the Eikon Exhibition Centre in Lisburn.
Organised by experienced exhibition professional and Glens Runners member Oonagh Cattigan, the event aims to bring together runners of all abilities, with a mix of expert talks, educational workshops, and exhibitors from across the running industry.
Notable figures supporting the show include:
- Lady Mary Peters, Olympic gold medallist and youth sport advocate
- Dr Michael McKillop MBE, retired middle-distance Paralympian and four-time Irish gold medallist
- Jonny Steede, Northern Irish mountain runner
