Canyon has opened its first Canyon Store in Munich, Germany, expanding its network of in-person touchpoints for the predominantly online direct-to-consumer (D2C) bike brand.
Open from Monday March 17, with an official opening event on Saturday March 29, 2025, the new store is based in Munich’s Werksviertel district. It includes selection across all bike categories over 1,000 sq m of floor space – and customers can buy bikes directly on-site and start riding from the store.
The new outlet is aiming to be more than a shop. It will focus on being a location for the local community… ‘a place where Canyon athletes, bike fans, and pros meet, exchange ideas, and live their shared passion for the sport.’
The opening of the Canyon Store Munich fits with the bike brand’s ‘Ride With Us’ campaign, where Canyon is expanding its global network of service and exclusive retail partners, as well as its own locations, to provide support to local riders and build local communities.
The company adds… ‘While a digital presence with direct sales is central to Canyon, stores like Munich enable a true cycling experience and a personal connection between brand and customers. The Canyon athletes planned for Munich events, meet & greets, and bike presentations will also contribute to this.’
The focus of the new store is a large selection of pre-assembled Canyon bikes that can be taken home immediately – from brand-new models such as the Roadlite CF, Grand Canyon:ON, or Exceed CF through to the brand’s wider range of road bikes, gravel bikes, and e-bikes.
In addition, there is a selection of accessories, including clothing and shoes, as well as helmets and equipment.
Those who order bikes online as usual can add a personal on-site experience with Canyon’s New Bike Day service, where bikes are assembled by specialists in-store, individually adjusted in a one-hour personal session, with time for questions to be answered.
Canyon customers can also get support beyond Munich’s Werksviertel location. With a local mobile service, Canyon is aiming to take its support offering to ‘wherever the Munich cycling community needs it.’
Beyond the service offering, the store will be a meeting place for the cycling community and a focal point for the local cycling scene. Canyon often uses its impressive roster of athletes, including cycling stars such as Mathieu van der Poel and Kasia Niewiadoma, to directly inspire cycling fans.
With exclusive ride-outs, workshops, and meet & greets, the local riding community will have opportunities to meet local elite riders such as Fabio and Gabriel Wibmer, Rick Zabel, Ricarda Bauernfeind, and other well-known cycling personalities.
The store will also become a hotspot for storytellers. GRL.PCK, which, together with Canyon, aims to inspire even more women to embrace the passion of cycling, is providing a kick-off event this year.

On March 29, Canyon will celebrate with an opening event, inviting all cycling enthusiasts to kick off the new season together. The event will be attended by cycling personalities such as Kai Pflaume, Ines Thoma, and other Canyon partners and athletes.
Ride outs, a bike wash, quick service, merchandise designs, raffles, and special goodies will also feature as part of the opening event.
