Over 25,000 registered participants took part in the 25th edition of the St Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Nashville on April 26–27, 2025. Events included a 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon, 1-mile run, KiDSROCK, and Doggie Dash.
David Gregory (Virginia Beach, VA) won the men’s marathon in 2:32:06, while Kate McAndrew (Savannah, GA) topped the women’s field in 3:06:38. In the half marathon, Joseph Skoog (McKenzie, TN) won the men’s race in 1:07:49 and Morgan Johnson (Nashville, TN) claimed the women’s title in 1:19:33.
Chris Boysen, Senior Vice President of Experiential for ALSAC (the fundraising and awareness organization for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital), said, “What began 25 years ago as a celebration of running and music has grown into something truly powerful: a movement that unites people with purpose.
“Every mile run in Nashville this weekend was a tribute to that spirit and the hope we’re building together for the more than 400,000 children worldwide who will develop cancer each year. We’re incredibly grateful to the St. Jude Heroes, participants, fans, and volunteers whose passion and generosity make this event—and our mission—stronger every year.”
The weekend also recognised 10 Legacy Runners who have participated every year since the inaugural race. Live music from local bands lined the course, with performances continuing at Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans, where the race finished.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series partners with St Jude Children’s Research Hospital as its official charity across 13 events. More than 1,500 St Jude Heroes participated in Nashville to raise awareness and funds to support children fighting cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
