Peloton has renewed its partnership with the 2025 Voltaren City2Surf, marking the third consecutive year that the fitness brand is supporting the world’s largest fun run. The event takes place on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in Sydney, Australia.
Organised by The IRONMAN Group, the Voltaren City2Surf attracts tens of thousands of participants annually. Last year’s 2024 City2Surf was a record-breaking event, with 90,000 registered runners.
In 2025, Peloton will be present at both the City2Surf expo from August 7–9 and at the Finisher’s Village on race day, August 10. The activation is in collaboration with Peloton’s official charity partner, Beyond Blue.
Training support ahead of race day
Peloton will offer tailored race preparation through its app and equipment, including the Peloton Bike, Bike+, and Tread. The company adds that it has already supported over 300,000 of its members in preparing for running events globally.
In the lead-up to the Sydney event, Peloton is offering five people the chance to win Voltaren City2Surf entries (for themselves and a friend). Participants will also gain access to an on-demand fitness class, the 30-minute Aussie Heartbreak Hill Run, led by Peloton instructor Joslyn Thompson Rule, specifically designed to prepare runners for the course’s toughest climb.
Live activations
At the City2Surf expo and Finisher’s Village, Peloton will host the ‘Ride or Run to Support Beyond Blue’ initiative. For every five-minute class completed at Peloton’s stand, the company will donate AU$10 (up to AU$1,500) to Beyond Blue’s 24/7 Support Service. A live tracker will show progress in donations throughout the day.
Also at the Finisher’s Village, Peloton will host a ‘Snap and Refresher Station’ with post-race times including hair care products, and will offer photo opportunities for runners to capture their race-day achievement.
Community focus
“City2Surf is about so much more than crossing the finish line – it’s a celebration of community, energy, and resilience,” said Susannah Drinan, Australia General Manager for Peloton. “We’re proud to return as a City2Surf partner and support runners with their training.”
Jeremy Kann, Vice President, Global Partnerships for The IRONMAN Group, added, “Peloton’s energy, support of Beyond Blue, and commitment to keeping our community moving — before, during, and after the race — truly elevates the event experience for everyone involved.”
Dr Luke Martin, clinical spokesperson for Beyond Blue, stated that the partnership “shines a light on the invaluable connection between physical movement and mental wellbeing,” noting that funds raised will go towards Beyond Blue’s free, 24/7 Support Service.
