Italian bike brand Pinarello has confirmed its return as the official bicycle sponsor of the Giro d’Italia for 2025.
The 108th edition of the Grand Tour begins in Durrës, Albania, on Friday, May 9, and concludes in Rome on Sunday, June 1. Pinarello will be front and centre on Stage 14, Saturday, May 24, as the race departs from Treviso—the company’s home city—with the start taking place outside its headquarters.
Pinarello has a storied history with the Giro d’Italia, including recent overall wins with Chris Froome in 2018, Tao Geoghegan Hart in 2020, and Egan Bernal in 2021. The company’s first Grand Tour victory came 50 years ago in 1974, when Fausto Bertoglio claimed the Maglia Rosa aboard a Pinarello. The brand has since amassed 30 Grand Tour titles, making it the most successful bike producer in Grand Tour history.
“We are very proud to return to the Giro d’Italia as the official bicycle sponsor,” said Fausto Pinarello, President of Pinarello. “This race is part of our DNA, our history, and our identity. Coming back into the fold means celebrating our past, but above all, looking to the future with passion and ambition.”
Also supporting this year’s Giro is Sanmarco Informatica, a digital innovation company that returns as sponsor of the Combativity Award. The prize recognises riders who animate each stage with bold racing. The daily winner is selected by fans through a QR code voting system, with the leader wearing a red number at the start of each stage. The final Combativity Award will be presented at the finish line in Rome.
A Sanmarco Informatica spokesperson stated that the prize reflects its commitment to “technical expertise, team spirit, and the drive to push beyond limits.”
The 2025 Giro d’Italia, organised by RCS Sport, features an extensive list of sponsors, including:
- Top sponsors: Intimissimi Uomo (Maglia Rosa), Banca Mediolanum (Maglia Azzurra), Madeinitaly.gov.it (Maglia Ciclamino), and Conad (Maglia Bianca)
