Indoor cycling platform ROUVY has rolled out new features, including the public launch of its Route Creator tool and a redesign of its ride interface.
Available to all subscribers as well as paused account holders, the Route Creator tool enables ROUVY users to record and upload GPS-enabled video footage to create virtual rides. Previously soft-launched to a test group in late 2024, the feature is now widely accessible.
ROUVY said the new tool gives cyclists the ability to recreate local training loops or share scenic rides from around the world. Using video captured via GPS-enabled cameras such as GoPro, users can convert real-world routes into immersive virtual rides. These routes are then augmented with 3D visuals, allowing for the placement of avatars, start and finish gates, fans, branding, and other course elements.
The platform’s system also enhances user-generated videos with elevation profiles, lighting, and gradient simulation for smart trainer compatibility.

The platform has also released an updated ride and workout interface, offering enhanced customisation of data fields and metrics, and a simplified workout screen with improved route visibility.
A new Free Ride function allows users to train without preset power or cadence targets, while power ramping has been introduced for smoother transitions during interval sessions.
ROUVY has also responded to community feedback by launching a new interactive map to improve international route discovery. This sits alongside the existing search tool and is designed to make exploration of the platform’s growing database of virtual rides more intuitive.
Currently, ROUVY offers over 1,500 high-definition virtual routes, with contributions from both official sources and a growing community of user-generated content.
