Italian eyewear brand Rudy Project has launched the Spinshield Pro, a new cylindrical-lens model, alongside an official UTMB World Series eyewear collection. Both were presented in Chamonix during the HOKA UTMB Mont-Blanc finals on August 31–September 1, 2025.
The Spinshield Pro builds on Rudy Project’s Spinshield family with a half-rim frame, adjustable nosepiece and ventilation holes to reduce fogging. Weighing 26g, it features wide peripheral vision, ergonomic temples with soft rubber tips, and compatibility with prescription inserts.
The model will be available in nine versions, with lenses ranging from RP Optics Multilaser to Rudy Project’s ImpactX photochromic technology, which adapts to changing light conditions and comes with a lifetime guarantee. Prices range from €139.90 to €214.90 (£159.90 to £215.90).
Two limited editions of the Spinshield Pro have also been released: one celebrating Rudy Project’s 40th anniversary, and another created in partnership with UTMB, equipped with a ‘high dynamic range lens’ designed for mountain trail running.
Rudy Project has also unveiled its wider UTMB World Series collection, comprising eight eyewear models. These include race-focused designs such as the Astral Sphere, Astral X, Propulse and Spinshield Pro, as well as lifestyle styles such as the Spinair 57.
All models feature UTMB branding and are manufactured in Italy. Prices range from €129.90 to €224.90 depending on the model and lens.
The collection is available through UTMB outlets at races and will be available from Rudy Project retailers from October.
