Attracting well over 10,000 runners annually across a diverse portfolio of events, UK-based event organiser RUN-FEST has been harnessing specialist registration technology through a partnership with njuko, one of Europe’s leading endurance sports registration platforms.
Under the leadership of Race Director Tom Bedford, RUN-FEST was founded in 2013 as a legacy of the London 2012 Olympics. The event organiser’s journey began with a single event and has since blossomed into a comprehensive running festival business.
The Richmond RUN-FEST, the company’s flagship race, now draws around 8,000 participants to the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew in southwest London. It’s an event that has grown since its inception, raising over £4.5 million for charity partners and maintaining its focus on being both beginner-friendly and community-oriented.
In 2015, RUN-FEST added the Worthing RUN-FEST, an event that now attracts close to 5,000 runners. Its fully road-closed, flat coastal course has made it a favourite for those chasing a personal best.
Most recently, RUN-FEST acquired the Littlehampton 10K in 2025, a long-established community event that had been supporting the Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice for over two decades.
To support its operations, RUN-FEST has had a collaboration with njuko, which provides a comprehensive suite of tools. These allow RUN-FEST to handle everything from white-label branding to team registration and real-time participant management.
The njuko platform’s API-centric, modular design gives RUN-FEST the flexibility to customise the registration experience for each event while ensuring brand consistency.
A release from njuko noted that the partnership is especially critical for RUN-FEST’s high-demand races, which often sell out quickly. Here, njuko’s queue management system and flash registration features have allowed the company to handle the intense demand when registrations open.
Beyond registration, the njuko On Site mobile app streamlines bib collection, and the platform’s automated email communications and integrated payment processing have enhanced the race participant journey.
