Santini Cycling has launched an exclusive collection of cycling apparel that pays tribute to the jersey of the Brooklyn Cycling Team, the professional Italian team that existed from 1973 to 1977.
The new Santini x Brooklyn line will debut at L’Eroica in Gaiole in Chianti, Italy, during the first weekend of October. Drawing a large field of international riders each year, L’Eroica is the non-competitive vintage cycling event that takes place in Tuscany.
Making the Santini x Brooklyn launch special will be the presence of former team star, Belgian cycling legend Roger De Vlaeminck. De Vlaeminck wore the jersey while winning several Monument Classics between 1973 and 1977.
These victories included Milan–Sanremo, two editions of the Giro di Lombardia, the Tour of Flanders, and three of his four Paris–Roubaix career wins, earning him the nickname ‘Monsieur Roubaix’.
