Wildflower Experience confirms full line-up for event’s return in May 2025

The Wildflower Experience will return to Lake San Antonio in Monterey County, California, from May 2–4, 2025, with a refreshed line-up of racing and festival activity.

Organised by See & Be Productions, the event is returning this year having had an absence since the pandemic. The 36th edition of Wildflower features its signature long course (half iron distance), Olympic and sprint distance triathlons. A new off-road Gravel Sprint triathlon has been added to the programme, along with trail runs, an open water swim and the WF2 Challenge – which combines both long course and Olympic races.

The TriDot Games will also debut at Wildflower in 2025… ‘blending fitness, fun and team competition.’ The concept has been created to build camaraderie among participants and to offer a lighter, more interactive experience for spectators.

“This is where racing meets community,” said Colleen Bousman, Event Director at See & Be Productions. “We’re creating an environment where athletes not only compete but also connect with each other, with the land, and with the legacy of Wildflower.”

In addition to racing, Wildflower will offer a broad programme of clinics led by coaches and experts. Topics include open water swimming, trail running, gravel bike handling, sports nutrition and mental skills. Pre-race yoga and shakeout sessions will also be held.

The three-day expo will showcase multisport products and services, while sponsors will support activity throughout the weekend. ROKA has been confirmed as the event’s swim partner, and Base Performance will supply on-course nutrition. Sports Basement will run a pop-up gear shop on-site.

TriDot will lead coaching clinics and is behind the TriDot Games. Rudy Project will run a transition clinic with Drew Shellenberger, and mental performance coaching will be provided by CredoTri.

Live music, gourmet food trucks, and craft beverage tastings will be central to the festival programme. Acts include Vince Cimo’s Hot Fire, The Vibe Setters, Ben Hein and the Shawn Clark Family Band. Firestone Walker Brewing Company and 15C Wine Bar will host tastings, while wellness options such as a spa lounge, paddleboard and kayak rentals, and outdoor fitness classes will be available.

Camping remains a key part of the Wildflower experience, with traditional tent and RV camping alongside premium glamping options.

Over 60 triathlon clubs and collegiate teams are expected to attend, reinforcing Wildflower’s reputation as a community-led event. Team relays, campsite gatherings and the Wildflower Kids Race will add to the inclusive feel of the weekend.
