The Zuma Beach Triathlon, held on Sunday, September 15, 2025, in Malibu, CA, raised more than US$150,000 for two charitable organisations: the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) and the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu.
The event, which brought together thousands of athletes and spectators, also featured a new Corporate Challenge sponsored by Pepperdine University. This initiative encouraged local businesses to form teams and fundraise, with the teams collectively raising over US$100,000 for CAF.
A number of celebrities and athletes took part, including actor Rob Riggle and Olympian Colleen Quigley, helping to raise the event’s profile.
Michael Epstein, the event’s founder, said “The Zuma Beach Triathlon has always been about more than crossing the finish line, it’s about coming together as a community to uplift others.
“This year’s event showcased the incredible spirit of our athletes, volunteers, and partners, all rallying to make a difference for the Challenged Athletes Foundation and the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu.”
CAF provides adaptive sports equipment and opportunities for athletes with physical challenges, while the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu offers after-school programmes, mental health services, and disaster recovery support. The Zuma Foundation also contributed with a US$50,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Club.
