Italian technical apparel brand Alé has announced a new partnership with elite triathletes Gregory Barnaby and Giorgia Priarone. The Verona-based company will supply the pair with high-performance kit for both competition and training throughout the 2026 season.
The partnership brings together two of Italy’s most successful endurance athletes. Gregory Barnaby, born in 1991, established himself as the most successful Italian athlete in the IRONMAN Pro Series after winning the overall standings in 2024. His career includes multiple national titles in long distance triathlon and sprint duathlon.
Giorgia Priarone, born in 1992, is the 2025 Duathlon World Champion. Her pedigree includes European U23 titles and a mixed relay world title in 2023. The two athletes, who are partners in both life and sport, will serve as global ambassadors for Alé’s triathlon range.
In competition, the duo will wear the short-sleeved Falcon Tri suit. According to the company, the suit is engineered for aerodynamics and features Air Wings fabric with a texture inspired by golf ball dimples to reduce drag. The design includes Jet Stripes sleeves to optimise airflow and Matrix fabric shorts to provide targeted compression for muscular efficiency.
For training sessions, Barnaby and Priarone will use the PR.S 1000 line. This range incorporates Body Mapping technology, which involves the strategic placement of specific fabrics across different body zones to meet the demands of high-intensity elite training.
Alessia Piccolo, CEO of APG – the company behind the Alé brand – said “We are delighted to welcome Gregory and Giorgia to the Alé family. They embody the core values of Alé: determination, technical excellence and a genuine passion for sport. Seeing our apparel competing at the highest level of IRONMAN and international triathlon is a testament to the strength of our research and textile innovation.”
In a joint statement, Barnaby and Priarone said “When choosing the brands that support us, we always look for alignment with our values and our approach to triathlon – it’s how sponsors become true partners. A tri-suit needs to be comfortable, lightweight and aerodynamic, and custom details can make a real difference, especially in races lasting over eight hours.”
They added “Having a technical partner like Alé, who listens to our needs and works with us to refine its products, plays a key role in our performance.”
Based in Verona, Alé is a specialist in technical cycling and triathlon clothing, which frequently collaborates with professional teams to develop its textile technologies.
