US-based footwear brand KEEN has announced its first-ever signed trail running ambassadors as part of a strategic entry into the performance trail running market for the 2026 season. The company has also debuted a new trail film and a global community activation on Strava.
The brand has appointed veteran ultra-runners Jeff Browning and Krissy Moehl as official ambassadors. According to the company, these signings represent a long-term investment in the sport, prioritising community and stewardship alongside technical trail performance.
Jeff Browning, a Hardrock 100 champion and Moab 240 course record holder, has recorded over 40 ultramarathon wins during his career. Krissy Moehl is a two-time UTMB champion and Hardrock 100 winner who also serves as the Race Director of the Chuckanut 50k.
To support the launch, KEEN has released a short film titled Idemo!, which premiered on February 26, 2026. Set in Montenegro’s Durmitor National Park, the five-minute film features runners Mileshka Cortes Bernard and Essaw Tekle. The title, which translates to ‘Let’s go’ in Montenegrin, reflects the brand’s focus on exploration and connection to place rather than competitive race results.
In addition to the film and ambassador announcements, the company is launching a global Strava challenge titled ‘Run for the Trails’. The activation is designed to encourage runners to log trail miles and engage with the international trail community as the 2026 season gets underway.
Founded in 2003, KEEN is known for its outdoor footwear and has recently expanded its product range to include more performance-oriented trail shoes. These new initiatives are intended to establish the brand’s credibility within the endurance running community while maintaining its focus on environmental responsibility.
