US-based smart wearables brand Amazfit has announced a new partnership with middle distance runner Josh Kerr. As the latest addition to the company’s elite athlete roster, the two-time Olympic medallist and world champion will incorporate Amazfit’s technology into his training, recovery, and competition.
Owned by health technology company Zepp Health, Amazfit is an international wearable brand that develops products designed for training and recovery. The partnership comes as Josh Kerr returns to indoor competition at the Millrose Games, where he is set to compete in the 2-mile event against fellow Amazfit athlete Grant Fisher.
Kerr has been utilising the Amazfit Balance 2 and Helio Armband as part of his daily routine. According to the company, he is a core member of its performance testing team, using the devices to monitor training blocks and race preparation.
Josh Kerr said “Amazfit is a brand that truly understands what elite performance requires. I respect how they support top-level athletes while still creating products that are accessible to everyone. As I continue to train smarter and compete against the best in the world, I’m proud to have Amazfit by my side as a key partner in my journey.”
The British runner joins other high-profile athletes associated with the brand, such as Grant Fisher, Derrick Henry, Gabby Thomas, and Ruth Croft.
Scott Shepley, Head of Global Marketing at Amazfit, said “Josh embodies the mindset we build Amazfit for: discipline, resilience, and precision at the highest level. As he returns to competition, we’re proud to support him with technology trusted by athletes who demand excellence.”
Based in Milpitas, CA, with a principal office in Gorinchem, the Netherlands, Zepp Health operates as a distributed organisation with offices across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Its Amazfit brand focuses on smart wearables that monitor movement and recovery, supported by the Zepp intelligence platform.
