Wearables brand Amazfit has introduced the new Amazfit Active Max. The US-based company, which is part of Zepp Health, has developed the smartwatch for those looking to prioritise fitness routines such as running, gym workouts, or competing in events such as HYROX.
To support athletes and those with New Year’s resolutions, the Active Max tracks over 160 sports and activities. It also offers personalised AI-powered training plans and analytics to monitor fitness progress.
The device features a lightweight build of 39.5g and includes automated features to assist during exercise. The smartwatch automatically sets heart rate zones when maximum heart rate is detected and provides warnings if a heart rate exceeds specific limits.
It can also create running or hiking routes and start or pause exercises automatically. The 1.5” display adjusts brightness up to 3,000 nits based on the environment, using AMOLED technology to provide high contrast for reading workout data.
Detailed workout summaries, including post-workout and recovery data, are available on the device and via the Zepp App. This includes accumulated training load, recovery progress, sleep quality, and heart rate variability. A BioCharge indicator is also included to reflect current energy levels.
The smartwatch supports payments and thousands of offline maps, including topographic, ski resort, and contour maps. Users can share progress on external platforms such as Strava, adidas Running, Google Fit, Health Connect, Komoot, and Relive.
The Active Max includes a built-in microphone and speaker, and it can be paired with headphones or other accessories such as the Helio Strap and Helio Ring. It features 4GB of storage for podcasts and music.
The Amazfit Active Max is available in the UK at uk.amazfit.com and through selected partners at a recommended retail price of £169.00.
