Canyon has unveiled its full 2026 road racing programme, confirming continued technical partnerships with five leading men’s and women’s WorldTour squads.
The German bicycle brand will equip Alpecin-Premier Tech, Movistar Team (men and women), CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto, and Fenix-Premier Tech with its flagship Canyon Factory Racing (CFR) machinery for the 2026 season.
The collaboration focuses on translating direct rider feedback into engineering and product development, with the professional peloton serving as a live testing ground for Canyon’s consumer products.
Men’s WorldTour: Classics and Grand Tour ambitions
Following a 2025 season that saw Mathieu van der Poel (NL) secure his seventh Cyclocross World Championship and multiple Monument victories, Alpecin-Premier Tech remains a central pillar of Canyon’s road strategy. The team’s 2026 roster includes sprinting powerhouse Jasper Philipsen (BE) and emerging talent Tibor del Grosso (NL), who recently claimed the Dutch National Cyclocross title.
The Movistar Team enters 2026 with a blend of GC experience and youth. Enric Mas (ES) continues as the squad’s primary stage-race reference, joined by high-profile signing Cian Uijtdebroeks (BE), who has committed to the team through 2029. The roster is bolstered by Under-23 Time Trial talent Iván Romeo (ES) and Javier Romo (ES).
Women’s WorldTour: A decade of CANYON//SRAM
CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto celebrates ten years in the peloton in 2026. The squad is led by 2024 Tour de France Femmes champion Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney (PL), alongside explosive Dane Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig and British ‘engine’ Zoë Bäckstedt, who recently secured both the World U23 and British Elite Time Trial titles.
Movistar Team’s women’s line-up features Marlen Reusser (CH), the reigning World Time Trial Champion, and German standout Liane Lippert.
Meanwhile, Fenix-Premier Tech continues to foster crossover talent with multi-discipline star Puck Pieterse (NL) and specialist sprinter Charlotte Kool (NL).
Across all five teams, riders will have access to a three-tier CFR suite:
- Aeroad CFR: The brand’s flagship road model, used for its aerodynamic efficiency in flat and rolling terrain
- Ultimate CFR: For climbing-intensive stages where weight and handling are critical
- Speedmax CFR TT: Dedicated machinery for time-trial stages
The ‘MyCanyon’ programme will continue to allow consumers to purchase the exact frame specifications and customisations used by professional riders in the WorldTour.
Global ambassadors
Beyond the professional ranks, Canyon has confirmed an extensive ambassador line-up for 2026. This includes cycling legends Alejandro Valverde and Annemiek van Vleuten, alongside figures from other disciplines such as Olympic runner Georgia Bell and World Cup-winning goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
