Wahoo Fitness, the endurance fitness tech company, has unveiled the latest evolution of its software platform, expanding the Wahoo App into a connected training ecosystem across both cycling and running.
The updated subscription structure and app features launched on August 12, 2026. According to Wahoo, the update brings together training insights, athlete intelligence, and enhanced running analytics into a unified digital experience. Alongside the platform evolution, the company is introducing a new three-tier subscription model to structure access to its features and software tools.
Long known for its hardware lineup, including ELEMNT GPS bike computers, KICKR indoor smart trainers, and heart rate monitors, Wahoo is expanding its software platform to give multi-sport athletes deeper visibility into their physiological performance, recovery, and overall progress. Over the past 12 months, the company has added multi-sport analytics, dedicated running tools, and strategic third-party integrations.
Central to the platform’s run training development is the introduction of Three-Dimensional Pace (3DP). Inspired by Wahoo’s cycling-specific Four-Dimensional Power (4DP) system – which evaluates an athlete’s profile across four distinct power metrics – 3DP adapts this methodology for runners.
The new 3DP matrix identifies three key speed-based performance markers: Threshold Pace, Maximal Aerobic Pace, and Anaerobic Capacity, allowing athletes to better understand their individual running characteristics.
To support a broader connected ecosystem, Wahoo has also expanded hardware compatibility through an integration with COROS. The partnership enables data sharing across Wahoo and COROS platforms, offering a unified tracking experience for athletes using devices from both brands.
Additionally, the platform integrates cross-training content via SYSTM, providing structured sessions in strength, yoga, mobility, recovery, and mental training designed to complement endurance sports.
Gareth Joyce, CEO at Wahoo, said “For years, Wahoo has helped endurance athletes train and perform through industry-leading connected fitness devices. As athletes’ needs have evolved, so have we. Today, the Wahoo App transforms complex sports science into simple, actionable insights that help athletes better understand their workouts, track their progress, and make more informed decisions about achieving their training goals.
“By bringing the same proprietary sports science trusted by elite athletes to the palm of every athlete’s hand, we’re making our connected devices even more intuitive and easier to use. This announcement marks an important step in our journey as we continue building a connected training experience that helps every athlete spend less time interpreting data and more time becoming the athlete they aspire to be.”
To streamline software access, Wahoo is implementing a three-tier membership structure: Base, Core, and Pro.
- The Base tier is available at no cost with compatible Wahoo hardware, offering core functions such as device connectivity, workout recording, app integration, route planning, and live tracking.
- The Core tier is aimed at self-guided athletes seeking deeper analytical tools. Priced at US4.99/£4.99/€4.99 per month, or US$49.99 / £49.99 / €49.99 per year, it adds performance analytics, training load and fitness tracking, historical activity trends, and access to an indoor and outdoor workout library.
- The Pro tier provides a fully guided experience for athletes requiring structured training support. Priced at US17.99/£14.99 / €17.99 per month, or US$179.99 / £149.99 / €179.99 per year, the tier includes everything in Core plus unlimited access to the SYSTM App, personalised daily workout recommendations, structured training plans, immersive video workouts, and full access to strength, mobility, recovery, and mental conditioning sessions.
