Colombian cyclist Rigoberto Urán has been named as Rider No. 312 for the 2027 edition of Mallorca 312 OK Mobility. Organised by event company 312 Events, the mass-participation gran fondo will take place on April 24, 2027, in Playa de Muro, Mallorca, Spain.
Urán will join a field of 8,500 cyclists taking part in the amateur cycling event, which offers route distances of 312km, 225km and 167km across the island.
As Rider No. 312, Urán will symbolically lead the peloton. The designation is reserved for former professional cyclists who have left an enduring legacy in the sport. Previous recipients of the honorary bib number include Alberto Contador, Miguel Induráin, Annemiek van Vleuten, Pedro Horrillo, Joseba Beloki, Maurizio Fondriest, Samuel Sánchez, Óscar Pereiro, Marga Fullana, Sean Kelly and Toni Tauler.
Urán’s professional cycling career includes a silver medal in the road race at the London 2012 Olympic Games, an overall runner-up finish at the 2017 Tour de France, and consecutive second-place finishes at the Giro d’Italia in 2013 and 2014. He also secured stage victories in both the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia during a career spanning more than a decade at the highest level of international cycling.
The Mallorca 312 OK Mobility event brings together local and international amateur cyclists to ride alongside former professional competitors across closed-road routes in the Balearic Islands.
