In recent years, the organisers have prioritised sustainability through the ‘Ride Green’ project, which aims to reduce the environmental impact of the race through waste management and recycling systems.

According to a recent report by Banca Ifis, presented by RCS Sports & Events, the 2025 edition of the race generated a total of €2.1 billion in direct and indirect expenditure for local territories. The event has seen significant growth in its international reach, with media coverage now reaching over 200 countries and attracting an estimated 18.4 million foreign spectators.
