Directly after launching the award winning Bluetooth Smart heart rate belt Blue HR, Wahoo Fitness, the US iPhone accessories specialist, is now presenting European consumers with ‘the world’s first cadence sensor Blue SC with innovative Bluetooth Smart technology.’ The official market launch in Europe is at the end of June.
The Blue SC sensor connects directly with an iPhone 4S. Users can display and analyze speed and cadence during a ride directly on the iPhone 4S without any additional adapters. There are also many compatible Apps available for the new product offering, including: Wahoo Fitness, runtastic Pro Roadbike, MapMyRide or endomondo – available from the iTunes Store.
Sensor specialist Wahoo Fitness is also doing pioneering work in tracking distance. The new speed/cadence sensor buffers the distance data, whether a user carries the iPhone while training or not. The Blue SC speed/cadence sensor is attached to the chain stay. Thanks to the ‘special Wahoo sensor circuit topology’, the power usage of the iPhone 4S battery is kept low for the data connection.
