The organisers of the Natureman triathlon in Verdon, France, propose that their event offers one of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe.
Taking place in the region surrounding the Verdon Gorge (Gorges du Verdon or Grand Canyon du Verdon), in south-eastern France (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence), the 2013 event on 5-6 October promises some stunning scenery.
The Verdon Gorge is a river canyon about 25 kilometres long and up to 700m deep. It was formed by the Verdon River, which is named after its startling turquoise-green colour, one of the canyon’s most distinguishing characteristics.
The organisers feel that event cannot be described in words alone and have prepared a short video to describe the unique event.
