Registration open for Triathlon Business International’s 2014 Conference in Marina del Rey

Triathlon Business International (TBI), ‘the industry organization dedicated to promoting the sport and the business of triathlon’, has opened registration for its 4th annual industry conference, which takes place on 26-28 January 2014 at the Marina del Rey, California, Marriott.

US Anti-Doping Agency CEO Travis Tygart will be among the roster of keynote speakers that will represent a ‘who’s who’ of the triathlon industry. A new addition to the conference calendar is a race director track that will include opportunities for race directors to meet and network with peers across the US, and become informed on various issues and trends in race production and the multisport industry.

TBI’s Ron Smith Triathlete of the Year Awards, and its multisport retailer and products industry awards will be presented on Monday evening, 27 January, at a special banquet event as part of the conference proceedings.

The 4th annual conference builds on two recent and successful TBI events: the inaugural Global Triathlon Conference in London held in conjunction with the ITU World Championships, and the Triathlon Pavilion at Interbike, which sold out and saw standing room only for its workshops.

Early Bird registration is available through to 14 November, and is priced at US$475 for TBI members and US$625 for non-members. Organizations that send three or more members to the conference will receive a 15% discount. Registration fees include all conference events and meals, and additional tickets can be purchased for the Monday night Ron Smith Awards Banquet.

Marina del Rey is known as the coastal playground of Los Angeles. It is a favourite location of fitness lovers and outdoor enthusiasts with easy access to the ocean, coastal bike trails, running paths, seaside parks and breezy beaches. It is 10 minutes from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), within walking distance of nearby, iconic Venice Beach, and a very short drive to Santa Monica. As noted by TBI, the location epitomizes the multisport industry and culture.
