The team at Challenge Weymouth has added a new competitive twist to next year’s inaugural event with the launch of an Inter-Club Challenge. The new event-within-an-event, will enable triathlon clubs across the UK to compete against each other to win a selection of prizes.
The competition is open to all triathlon clubs in the UK, regardless of size, and there will be prizes awarded across four categories:
- Fastest Club Individual Male
- Fastest Club Individual Female
- Largest Club Turnout
- Spot Prizes x5
Prizes include entry to Challenge Weymouth 2015, plus Just Racing UK 2015 race entries and goodies from USN and Erdinger, alongside a night’s stay in Weymouth and much more.
Alan Rose, Race Director of Challenge Weymouth said, “As triathletes we are all super competitive. The beauty of this competition is that you don’t need to finish on the podium in order to win a prize – it doesn’t matter if you come first or last; you are still in the running.”
Alan continued, “And remember that you have to be ‘in it to win it’. Make sure that your club is officially entered, and that when signing up each competitor includes their club name. Entries to Challenge Weymouth are selling out quick, so make sure that you sign up soon!”
To enter a club, simply email Philippa[at]justracinguk.com with the heading, ‘Challenge Weymouth Interclub Comp’, and include the following details:
- Club Name
- Contact Name
- Contact Email Address
- Contact Phone Number
Once a club is entered, the event team will take care of the rest. Clubs just need to make sure that their club members include their ‘club name’ when they enter – to ensure that athletes are properly assigned to the right club.
