Up and coming wetsuit brand ROKA has announced a multi-year sponsorship deal with Olympic Bronze Medallist and 2 x ITU World Champion Emma Moffatt through to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

ROKA CEO and Co-Founder Rob Canales said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Emma to ROKA. We had the pleasure of working unofficially with her last season and supporting her wins at Hy-Vee and Noosa as well as her First Out of the Water and Bronze medal at the ITU World Triathlon Series Grand Final.
“This year, we’re excited to formalize our relationship and support Emma’s attempt to become the first triathlete in history to win the ITU WTS World Championship and the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in the same year.”

Moffatt’s management team at BPM Sport noted “Emma gave us a very clear brief for 2014 after trying out ROKA last year. We were pleased to work with the team at ROKA to put in place a multi-year arrangement that will assist Emma to remain at front of the pack for years to come.”
Moffatt hails from the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, and splits time between home, various international training camps, and Boulder, Colorado. She races for Australia with ROKA pro Ashleigh Gentle and joins ROKA’s growing team of champion female pros. These include 2x Olympian Laura Bennett, 11x Iron-distance and 3x IM 70.3 Champion Gina Crawford, 70.3 World Champion Julie Dibens, 5x Ironman Champion Meredith Kessler, Ironman and Challenge Roth Champion and 2013 Kona Runner-up Rachel Joyce, 4x Ironman Champion Amy Marsh, 2x 70.3 World Champion Mel Hauschildt, and others soon to be announced.
Emma Moffatt is represented by Evan Gallagher at BPM Sport Athlete Management (BAM). She will wear ROKA’s Maverick Pro Wetsuit, Viper Pro Speed Suit, SIM Pro Shorts and other racing and training products that are currently in development.
ROKA is a performance multisport brand that was founded in 2011 by two former All-American swimmers from Stanford University, who, after being frustrated by the wetsuit offerings on the market, set out to make ‘the fastest wetsuit on the planet’.
After two years of product development, the ROKA team launched its Maverick wetsuit, Viper swimskin and SIM shorts line in March 2013. ROKA products have seen widespread acceptance by elite and developing swimmers alike.
