New ‘Cubism’ for triathletes… CUBE Bikes sponsors the Raelert brothers

German bicycle manufacturer CUBE has entered into a three year sponsorship and endorsement deal with the pro triathlete Raelert-brothers – Andreas and Michael Raelert.

“Working together with two of the world´s best triathletes from Germany is an absolute stroke of luck for us and confirmation of our know-how,” said CUBE founder and owner Marcus Pürner. “We are confident that both sides will profit enormously from this close cooperation.”

CUBE expects to benefit, not only via information and findings derived from the laboratory, but also from the close cooperation and direct feedback received from the professional athletes. The company expects that this will directly influence the development of its bikes, which is of ‘high importance in order to get the maximum out of every bike.’

Andreas and Michael Raelert stated “We are thankful to have a strong partner like CUBE on our side who, thanks to its experience, unites performance and technology. We are sure that together with CUBE our aims for the future can be achieved.”

For the Raelert-Brothers having the best materials on hand is a core foundation for future success. The brothers feel that the CUBE Aerium as their competitive bike ‘uncompromisingly unites all requirements’. The bike’s carbon frame aims to set new benchmarks, with an ‘integration of components that allows for an optimum of aerodynamics coupled with the possibility of perfect individual adaptation.’

The Raelert-brothers primary aim is to target victory at the Ironman World Championship in October. The first race to this ultimate goal with CUBE will be the Thomas Cook Ironman 70.3 Mallorca on 10 May. Andreas Raelert will start his 2014 triathlon season in Mallorca; while Michael will start his first race with CUBE at the Olsztyn-Triathlon in Poland on 18 May.

“CUBE emerging from a family company to one of the biggest bicycle companies has an impressive track record,” commented the two brothers. “It really is motivating for us that CUBE enters into a long-term cooperative relationship with us.”

CUBE Bikes was founded in 1993 in Waldershof, Bavaria, by Marcus Puerner. Over the years the company has become a leading brand in several European countries – with a specialism in middle- and premium-end mountain bikes and road bikes.

The CUBE brand is available through specialist retailers in 60 countries worldwide. The current product portfolio consists of more than 180 different mountain-, road- , cross-, triathlon-, e- and trekking bikes. Ergonomically optimized bikes for women and kids as well as a clothing and accessories line complement the product range.

CUBE is driven by the aspiration to get out the maximum of every bike. The brand aims to epitomize its own ideas and developments. At the headquarters in Waldershof, Bavaria, a team of engineers continuously seeks to improve materials, constructions and processes. CUBE’s in-house test laboratory ensures that every model is put to comprehensive tests ‘whose requirements are well above the European CE standards’. Additionally, CUBE bikes get tested by the company’s engineers and professional bikers to avoid any mistakes and weaknesses. The result is ‘an uncompromising combination of functionality, weight, stiffness and safety.’
