SKINS hires Sean Logan and Brad Barber to beef-up support in California

Compression sportswear specialist, SKINS has announced the hirings of Brad Barber and Sean Logan. Logan will serve as an Independent Sales Representative in Southern California, one of the most important and influential markets in the US, while Barber joins SKINS as the brand’s new In House Tech Representative with a focus on supporting sales throughout California.

With more than two decades in the outdoor apparel industry, Sean Logan lends added support to SKINS’ retailers in Southern California, Hawaii and Arizona, while raising brand awareness within the marketplace. Prior to SKINS, Logan was a Key Account Manager for Reebok. He has also held the titles of Inside Sales Manager for Oakley Sunglasses and Field Marketing Manager for K2.

Logan graduated from the University of Delaware with a BS in Sports Science Studies and earned his MS from the University of Phoenix in 2005. Logan was a member of the Delaware cross-country and track and field teams.

“Sean Logan is a very well established sales rep in Southern California and brings over 20 years of experience in sport specialty,” said Robin Barsantee, Sales Director at SKINS North America. “Sean will play a vital role in helping to bring increased awareness and retailer support of SKINS in the influential southern California market.”

“The compression and active sportswear industry is more competitive than ever and I’m honoured to be joining a storied brand as SKINS,” said Logan. “It’s always great to be with the ‘original’, as they have crafted compression, both active and recovery, to enhance all the sports and activities the world’s premier endurance athletes participate in.”

In his new role as In House Tech Representative, Brad Barber will provide SKINS Compression education sessions to specialty accounts, as well as host run nights and local SKINS community grass roots initiatives. Prior to joining SKINS, Barber served as Brand Ambassador for Inverness Sales Group representing such brands as Pearl Izumi, FLUID, Solues Watches, GYST Concept, and 110% Compression.

Barber spends his free time surfing, cycling, running and snowboarding. He earned a Communications degree from Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale, Arizona.

“As a long-time brand ambassador for several leading apparel brands, I’m excited to be a part of the SKINS team,” said Barber. “I am most looking forward to fully immersing our customers, as well as the local community on the benefits of SKINS compression wear, as well as the importance of leading an active and healthy lifestyle.”

SKINS apparel is worn by professional athletes and active consumers worldwide including cyclists, runners, and triathletes, such as US professional triathlete Kevin Collington, US pro triathlete Mary Beth Ellis, Australian professional triathlete Christian Kemp and 2012 Ironman World Champion Leanda Cave.

Originally developed in Australia in 1996, the SKINS brand was designed to take on a massive challenge: create a sports garment that improved performance and aided recovery. SKINS invested heavily in research to make this happen and is now ‘Australia’s leading therapeutic compression brand’ and is gaining similar recognition around the world.

Bringing this unique line of performance apparel to the United States in 2007, SKINS continues to make its number one focus research and development in order to improve, rigorously test and expand its range of products.

SKINS notes that it is the only therapeutic compression sportswear brand supported by numerous independent studies published in peer reviewed medical journals. ‘SKINS is also the only compression garments recommended and endorsed by the Australian Physiotherapy Association.’
