Polar Bottle Half-Twist technology seeks to make spills a thing of the past

A release from Polar Bottle, highlighting the bottle specialist’s Half-Twist technology, notes that the cap or lid of a water bottle or cup is often the most important feature. With this in mind, ‘the Polar Bottle 22oz Ergo bottle and Thermaluxe stainless steel bottle both sport a cap that is truly innovative – the Half-Twist cap.’

The company developed Half-Twist technology to combine the experience of drinking out of a glass with a water bottle’s portability and ability to be sealed tight. Just as Polar Bottle was an early innovator in insulated sport water bottles, with this new Half Twist technology, the company is aiming to create a whole new hydration category – the bottle/cup hybrid.

The Polar Bottle Half-Twist cap is made of BPA-free and Phthalate-free plastic just like the rest of the bottle. The sealing gasket inside the cap is crafted from medical grade silicone and is easily removed for cleaning. To drink from the Half-Twist cap simply line up the water droplet on the lid with the water droplet, and to seal the cap tight twist the all the way to the right.

The contoured mouthpiece is ‘ergonomically designed for optimal sipping comfort and spill-free drinking.’

“Customers told us they wanted a bottle that performed like a cup but one that could be carried anywhere and wouldn’t leak or spill – so we created Half-Twist,” said a Polar Bottle spokesperson. “We’re pretty excited about its versatility and have had a great reaction in consumer testing. Our design team really outdid themselves on the graphics as well.”

For those interested in checking out this innovative new hydration technology, the Polar Bottle Half-Twist technology will be stand #BRL222 in the foyer at the Outdoor Retailer show, 6-9 August, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
