TriSports.com is official tri store for Challenge Family North America events

The Challenge Family series of long distance triathlons has formed a partnership with TriSports.com as the official triathlon store for the Challenge Family North America events.

Over 6,000 triathletes are expected to toe the line at Challenge Family triathlon events across North America this year. Following a landing in North America with Challenge Penticton in Canada in August 2013, Challenge Family has also added events such as Challenge St Andrews, Challenge Atlantic City and Challenge Rancho Cordova.

“We are excited to work with TriSports.com as our official online retailer and look forward to providing all our athletes a seamless purchasing process online,” said Ryan Coelho, Race Director of Challenge Rancho Cordova, California, which debuts on 5 October 2014.

Debbie Claggett, TriSports.com Vice President, added, “TriSports.com is thrilled to be partnering with Challenge North America as its Official Triathlon Store! Challenge Family has a reputation for producing world-class events and giving athletes a stellar race experience; so to have them expanding so much in North America opens a whole new realm of choices for athletes. We look forward to being a part of that growth, and to supporting the participants of all the Challenge North America events!”

TriSports.com is billed as ‘the world’s leading triathlon retail store’. Many of the retailer’s employees are triathletes – ‘living and breathing the multisport lifestyle while providing excellent customer service and an extensive product selection of triathlon wetsuits, aero race wheels, tri bikes, road bikes, triathlon clothing, running shoes – everything – to triathletes around the globe.’

TriSports.com has always focused on supporting the sport through partnering with events, clubs/teams, individuals and charities; and notes that it is ‘dedicated not only to the sport, but also to their customers, employees and the environment.’

The Challenge Family series of triathlons now features 28 full and half distance races around the world, including the world’s largest long distance triathlon – Challenge Roth in Germany. The birthplace of the Challenge Family, Challenge Roth now features over 5,500 athletes and 220,000 spectators and is home to both world records held by Andreas Raelert (GER) and Chrissie Wellington (GBR).

Since 2002, races throughout Europe, UK, Australia, Asia, North America and now South America have joined Roth. Together they aim to provide athletes with a new experience of long distance racing – with a ‘strong focus on athlete and spectator experience, giving back to the community while respecting the legacy of sport and being committed to its continued growth.’
