US multisport apparel brand Rocket Science Sports has unveiled its Team Portal – an online space where athletes’ and clubs’ custom team gear is available. The micro site within the main Rocket Science Sports website acts as a collaboration tool that collects and manages custom team designs.
The Team Portal can be shared with other team members (as well as coaches, athletes, parents) who can choose and order products.
Functionality and capabilities:
- Portal with all the gear available for the team
- Current and past order history
- Order processing status
- Online ordering and payment system
Each member can select the needed size and add it to the team cart. Rocket Science Sports offers multiple products that the team can order, including apparel and accessories relevant to team members, parents and alumni.
The team manager can also access all the orders and oversee the size breakdown of individual team members.
To set up to the Team Portal, interested parties can contact sales[at]rocketsciencesports.com or click on the login/register button on the site. Rocket Science Sports’ sales staff will then offer assistance and aim to save time and headaches during what can be a complex ordering process.
Back at the end of 2011, when the company made its push into custom apparel, Marcin Sochacki, CEO of Rocket Science Sports noted, “Our Custom Line is one of our major areas of development going forward. World-wide, more and more teams are realizing the need for team wear to help distinguish themselves and the identity of their organization. This is a trend that we see accelerating for the next few years.”
