Challenge Family has released Challenge by Numbers – a summary of the important facts and figures about Challenge Family races on a global scale.
It was originally produced to help pro athletes plan their season, but the race organiser has also shared with age group athletes as a handy infographic resource. As the company points out, ‘We may not be the biggest, but the best presents come in small parcels!’
As a resource for pro athletes, Challenge Family notes that Challenge by Numbers may be used when presenting to sponsors ‘as evidence of the status and exposure that racing at a Challenge event brings.’
Challenge Family has also put together a 2015 event calendar reference tool, including distance(s) and prize money on offer.
In its communication to pro athletes, the organizer said…
Challenge Family remains committed to providing a standard prize structure at every race, along with free entry, accommodation to any professional and an exceptional event experience. In return we simply ask that you fulfill any event requests or obligations so together we build a better future and ensure the growth of triathlon.
We urge you to consider all your options when planning your season to ensure your sustainability in the sport and build your brand year on year. As a professional athlete you need to make smart choices in order to achieve this, take control of your pathway and ultimately pursue your goals on your terms.
The Challenge Family series of triathlons features 42 full and half distance races around the world, including the world’s largest long distance triathlon – Challenge Roth in Germany. The birthplace of the Challenge Family, Challenge Roth now features over 5,500 athletes and 220,000 spectators and is home to both long distance tri world records held by Andreas Raelert (GER) and Chrissie Wellington (GBR).
Since 2002, races throughout Europe, UK, Australasia, Asia, North America and South America have joined Roth. Together, Challenge Family notes that these events ‘provide athletes with a new experience of long distance racing with a strong focus on athlete and spectator experience, giving back to the community while respecting the legacy of sport and being committed to its continued growth.’
