Brutal Events, producer of the Brutal branded triathlons in North Wales, has confirmed that Planet X is on board as the official bike partner for the 2015 season.

Brutal Events’ main events run across a weekend in mid-September. The Brutal Extreme Triathlons consist of a middle distance (half), a long course (full)… and an ultra distance (double) [the latter being for the superhuman or clinically insane].
For the foolhardy, superfit or suffer-prone, and for 2015 only, The Brutal Extreme Triathlons weekend also includes a Triple!
The 2015 event is based out of Llanberis, Gwynedd, North Wales on 19-21 September. It starts with a cold lake swim in Llyn Padarn, before a 28.99 mile bike lap course and an equally ‘brutal’ run.
The half athletes complete 2 laps and two ascents of Llanberis Pass, which means the Brutal Half distance ride gets close to 60 miles – a few miles extra on a standard 70.3 middle distance course. The full athletes complete 4 laps and the double athletes complete an astonishing 8 laps of the 29 mile loop. Given the distances involved, and the elevation, the Triple distance course is best not thought about!
The run has 2 sections, a 5.2 mile lap that goes around Llyn Padarn and an ascent and descent of Mount Snowdon, which is approximately 9.5 miles from transition and back.
In the months leading up to the Brutal main event, Planet X and Brutal Events will offer a series of promotions for athletes.
