Record sell-out rates across all IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 events in 2015 may have disappointed those athletes unable to secure an event of choice. There are, however, still a number of routes to take part across events in the UK and Ireland.
Team entries
For athletes looking to ease into their IRONMAN journey, entering as a relay team made up of two or three individuals is the perfect solution. With each member completing either the swim, bike or run, the clock stops when the runner crosses the finish line to give the total time.
Relay team entries are available at IRONMAN 70.3 Staffordshire and IRONMAN 70.3 Exmoor.
Charity entries
IRONMAN has a number of official charities linked with individual events that have guaranteed places in return for raising funds for a worthy cause.
Whilst fundraising can add the pressure of securing sponsorship from friends, family and colleagues, it is also a fantastic way to keep athletes motivated through their months of training. Participants may also find that they will have more supporters at the event itself, helping them to dig deep up those challenging climbs and pushing them to the finish line.

TriClub Program – new for 2015
Clubs can register (free of charge) with IRONMAN’s TriClub Program by Friday 13 March, giving members the chance to enter sold out events IRONMAN 70.3 Staffordshire, IRONMAN 70.3 UK and IRONMAN 70.3 Dublin.
Following the success of the TriClub Program in the USA, this exciting new category offers triathlon clubs the opportunity for their members to enter as individuals, but their results are all combined as a team in a point scoring ladder system across Europe.
Clubs are assigned to a division based on membership size. Top clubs in each division will then receive an invitation to compete in the inaugural IRONMAN European Club Championships. IRONMAN 70.3 Staffordshire will also offer the top clubs direct qualification.
