Anglesey Sandman 2016 close to selling out

Entries for the Anglesey Sandman Triathlon 2016 are selling fast, according to race organiser Always Aim High, with ‘the last few places expected to be snapped up in the next week.’

The Anglesey Sandman ‘powered by Suunto’ takes place on 17-18th September at Newborough Forest, Anglesey, North Wales. Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the surrounding scenery along the race route ‘offers a challenge for everyone regardless of fitness and experience’.

Starting with a swim in the warm, clear waters of the blue flag awarded Llanddwyn beach and overlooking the Snowdonia Mountain range, the triathlon moves onto a fast, undulating cycle along the country lanes and coasts of the island. The event finishes with a sandy trail run through the forests at Newborough.

Also taking place over the weekend is the ‘Sandman Weekender’. Here, competitors taking part in the weekender will do the sprint distance on Saturday and the full distance on the Sunday of the race weekend this September.

Always Aim High Events adds that the Anglesey Sandman has sold out for the past two years and with 2016 looking to be no different, entrants are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
