The recently released Race Event Handbook from Eventbrite contains a number of insights and ‘offers tips on how to stay competitive, innovate and fill places in endurance races.’

A release from Eventbrite notes that, in an increasingly competitive marketplace, it is key to ‘improve your race brand and marketing strategy to achieve cut-through, deliver the best possible registration experience, and engage with new audiences that will help you drive growth and profitability.’

Eventbrite adds that… ‘in the last 10 years there have been seismic changes to endurance sports’ event management and participation. To attract participants, race organisers need to understand the changing demands of the market and innovate to stay ahead.’

Eventbrite spoke to eight prominent industry experts from around the globe (including Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Brazil, Argentina and the United States) about the current state and future of the industry.

This Race Event Handbook contains their insights and the handbook can be downloaded for free by filling in a form on the Eventbrite site.

Eventbrite points out that the Race Event Handbook covers how to:

  • Attract new audiences to your race
  • Make your event unique and memorable
  • Share and amplify your race brand’s story
  • Find your point of differentiation
  • Build a loyal community
  • Use social media to promote and sell out your next race

Oliver Kirwan, Director of Elite Event Management (Ireland) at Eventbrite said “Organising events is all about the numbers, and this is getting more difficult in a very crowded marketplace. As people have increased choice you need to stand out and differentiate yourself. Unique events can create cut through, grow and be successful.”
