With the theme ‘Profitability & Success in Triathlon – Sharing Solutions to Shape the Future of Multisport’, Triathlon Business International (TBI), the multisport industry organization dedicated to promoting the business and sport of triathlon, has announced that registration is open for its 7th Annual Conference presented by ACTIVE Network. The event takes place on 22-24 January 2017 at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas, Texas.
During the popular annual conference, attendees will get the ‘latest information, tools and solutions to help optimize business efforts and be successful’. The conference is also positioned as the best place for important business conversations, to make valuable connections and to immerse in two days of networking.
One of the new aspects of the conference is the move to Dallas, Texas. “The TBI board agreed that a change of venue and a move to the middle of the country was a sound idea,” said TBI President, Richard Adler. “Since Dallas is equidistant for east coast and west coast attendees, and has easy connections from anywhere in the US and Canada, we wanted to make the conference accessible to more industry people.”
For the first time, TBI and USA Triathlon are collaborating to consecutively present their respective annual conferences. USA Triathlon’s Race Director Symposium, the leading educational event for multisport race directors in the United States, will be held from 20-22 January, with joint programming with TBI on Sunday 22 January.
“We are looking forward to collaborating with TBI to offer our race director community more educational and networking opportunities than ever before,” said Kathy Matejka, USA Triathlon Event Services Director. “USA Triathlon has hosted its Race Director Symposium for more than a decade, and offering so many learning opportunities in one location means our race directors have even more chances to gain knowledge and grow their skills.”
There are discounted rates for those who want to attend both events. Discounted registration packages are available on TBI’s and USA Triathlon’s registration sites. The combination conference package will allow an attendee to register for the second conference in a single transaction at a 25% discount.

Registration for the 7th annual TBI event opens at US$595 for current TBI members and US$695 for non-members. Registration includes all sessions, meals, networking events and one ticket to the Ron Smith Awards celebration. Once registered for the TBI Conference, delegates can register for the USA Triathlon Symposium at a 25% discount. Special conference hotel rates at the Fairmont Dallas are available through 7 January 2017.
Keynote speakers and conference sessions and workshops will be announced over the coming weeks.
