The inaugural Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation Half Marathon kicks off on Sunday, November 11th, 2018 with a salute to the military’s role in space and to all US military personnel on Veteran’s Day.
Benefiting the 150-year-old Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation, the event will take runners and walkers behind the secured gates of the Air Force Station and not only past launch pads, monuments and relics of the Air Force’s and NASA’s pioneering manned and unmanned space program – but also into its future passing by the Blue Origin launch complex and Space X operations.
The event is open to the public, with military discounts (active, veterans, reservists & retirees) and a post-race celebration in the shadow of Cape Canaveral Lighthouse. The inaugural event’s field is limited to 2,000 runners.
