Danish triathlon apparel specialist Fe226 has released the AeroForce Mk II Triathlon Suit. The updated version of its ‘wind tunnel test winning AeroForce Sleeved Suit’ utilises the same patented (swimskin-based) material that featured in the original.
Having worked with its team of professional athletes, aerodynamic experts and product developers, the aim has been to make the suit even better. The company points to new features in the AeroForce Mk II Triathlon Suit, including:
- Better chamois (developed with gebioMized and Secret Saddle Club) for a better and more aerodynamic position on the bike and added comfort
- Longer sleeves for reduced drag on the bike
- Longer legs for reduced drag when swimming and on the bike – with a claimed improvement in ‘energy return during cycling and running’
- Improved, heat-sensitive leg gripper to make the leg hems stay in place while allowing free blood flow
- Strengthened zipper ending for getting the suit on/off quicker
Fe226 notes that the original AeroForce Sleeved Suit won a windtunnel test ‘by a 9 watts margin to the runner-up, Endura’s Drag2Zero – and 28 watts to a normal suit.’ The test was conducted by RennRad and included 14 TT and triathlon suits.
