Continuing our series of ‘inside the news’ interviews, we spoke with Peter Tomlinson, CEO at Endurance Sports TV… billed as ‘the first-ever globally-available dedicated endurance sports channel.’
The discussion with Peter looked into the specialist TV channel’s new crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube. The new Crowdcube campaign has been in a private phase in recent weeks, and is now moving into a public phase where it is opening up to a wider pool of prospective investors.
The team at Endurance Sports TV notes that the campaign presents an ‘opportunity for investors to capitalise on the growth of media streaming services for sports fans.’
Peter outlined how the campaign came about, and the steps taken by the company in recent months – as it has responded to the dramatic changes brought about by Covid-19.
The campaign’s target is £150,000; and via a private raise ahead of going public on Crowdcube, from mid-September, Endurance Sports TV has to date raised around £60,000.
Following the campaign, future investment will be focused on video content, special features with global sports talent and covering top events. A second key element will be on PR & marketing, using connections with sports media and social channels to connect with fans and participants.
Peter teased some of the content that Endurance Sports TV has coming up in the next few weeks, with further announcements to follow soon.
